Allegations of match-fixing and fraudulent sports betting.
3 JULY
A nine-month investigation conducted by the Central Racing and Gaming Authority (SCCJ) under the authority of the Toulon Public Prosecutor’s Office, following a tip-off from the National Gaming Authority (ANJ), led to the arrest of nine people in various parts of the country on 30 June 2026. “The three players from the losing team, as well as the bettors and intermediaries” were therefore prosecuted, “all of whom denied the allegations” whilst in police custody, adds Raphaël Balland.
According to details of the investigation revealed by *Le Parisien* and confirmed by *France Info*, around 80 per cent of the sums bet online – amounting to nearly 3,000 euros – were placed on the defeat of the favourites, the “France 2 Rocher” trio, of which Dylan Rocher is a member, against the local team, Levallois Sporting Club.
